STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex .BSESN fell 0.62% to 83,459.15, while the NSE Nifty 50 index .NSEI eased 0.64% to 25,597.65, as broad-based profit booking led by IT stocks outweighed earnings-driven gains in Bharti Airtel and Titan. .BO
RUPEE:
The Indian rupee INR=IN rose 0.14% versus the U.S. dollar to 88.6550, hoisted by likely market intervention by the Reserve Bank of India even as routine dollar bids from importers and foreign banks kept a lid on the currency's gains. INR/
GOVERNMENT BONDS:
The benchmark 10-year bond IN063335G=CC was quoted at 98.615 rupees, with the yield marginally down at 6.5279%, on short-covering tied to suspected central bank buying, but gains were capped as demand-supply concerns tempered sentiment ahead of Friday's new 10-year issuance. IN/
OVERNIGHT INDEX SWAPS:
The one-year overnight index swap rate INR1YMIBROIS=CC was little changed at 5.48%, while the five-year swap rate INR5YMIBROIS=CC rose over 1 bp to 5.6975%.
CALL MONEY:
India's overnight call money rate INROND= was at 5.00% and the overnight TREPS rate INTREPTOT=TCCL was at 5.15%
