U.S. energy stocks climb as crude prices firm

** U.S.-listed energy shares rise in premarket trade after
crude prices edge up, as a tight physical market offsets some of
the COVID-19 and OPEC+ supply concerns behind the previous
session's 7% slide
    ** West Texas Intermediate crude  CLc1  up 0.5% at
$66.75/barrel, while Brent crude  LCOc1  rises 0.2% to
$68.77/barrel  O/R 
    ** Oil major ExxonMobil Corp  XOM.N  gains 1%, while peer
Chevron Corp  CVX.N  climbs 0.9%
    ** Oilfield services providers Schlumberger  SLB.N  adds
1.7%, while Halliburton Co  HAL.N  is up 2.8%
    ** HAL reports a 33.5% jump in Q2 profit from the previous
three months, as a rebound in crude prices from pandemic lows

    ** Oil and gas producers Occidental Petroleum Corp  OXY.N ,
APA Corp  APA.O , Marathon Oil Corp  MRO.N , EOG Resources Inc
 EOG.N , Diamondback Energy Inc  FANG.O  and Callon Petroleum Co
 CPE.N  climb between 1.7% and 2.7%
