** Shares of biopharma firm BioXcel Therapeutics BTAI.O rise 26.5% to $6.93 premarket

** Co says it received positive feedback from the FDA on planned application for BXCL501, a drug to treat agitation in Alzheimer's patients

** BXCL501 is currently approved for use in medically supervised settings and the company is aiming for FDA approval for at-home use of the drug in treating agitation associated with bipolar disorders or schizophrenia

** Co plans to submit the marketing application in Q1 2026

** Stock down 8.4% YTD
