U.S. stocks rose on Monday on gains in heavyweight technology companies,
although sentiment remained fragile due to slowing economic growth in China and
concerns of elevated inflation due to a relentless surge in oil prices. .N 
    At 12:41 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was down 0.05% at
35,278.52. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 0.22% at 4,481.19 and the Nasdaq Composite
 .IXIC  was up 0.48% at 14,968.725.
