BioRestorative Therapies rises on U.S. patent for obesity therapy

** Shares of stem cell therapy developer BioRestorative
Therapies Inc  BRTX.O  rise 36.2% to $3.8 premarket
    ** Says it has been granted a third U.S. patent covering its
proprietary cell therapy candidate to treat obesity and other
metabolic disorders 
    ** The therapy, ThermoStem, is designed to generate brown
fat, which may help in additional caloric burning as well as
reduced glucose and lipid levels -BRTX 
    ** Says patent enhances collaborative and partnering
opportunities for the therapy 
    ** Co is evaluating the technology to target indications
outside of metabolic disorders, it says
    ** Up to last close, stock fell ~51% in the past 12 months
