Crypto stocks climb as bitcoin regains some ground

** Shares of cryptocurrency and blockchain-related companies rise as bitcoin BTC= briefly rises above $90,000

** The world's biggest cryptocurrency was last up 1.6% to $89,536.4, while ether ETH= rises 2.5% to $3,047.3

** Crypto exchange Coinbase Global COIN.O up 3.3%, crypto hoarder Strategy MSTR.O climbs 1.7% and blockchain farm operator Bitfarms BITF.O up 9.1%

** Crypto miners: Riot Platforms RIOT.O and MARA Holdings MARA.O up 1.6% and 2.3%, respectively

** ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF BITO.P and iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF IBIT.O up close to 2% each

** Ether-linked stocks also tick higher; Bitmine Immersion Technologies BMNR.A up 1.9%

** BTC down 4.5% YTD, well off its record high levels seen back in October
