** Cryptocurrency and blockchain-related firms gain premarket

** Bitcoin BTC=, world's biggest cryptocurrency, rises 3.85% to $117,961.45; Ether ETH= gains 6.1% to $2,992.58

** Crypto exchange Coinbase Global COIN.O up 2.3%, BTC stockpiler Strategy MSTR.O, formerly known as MicroStrategy, up 3.27%

** Crypto miners advance premarket: Riot Platforms RIOT.O up 3.26% and Mara Holdings MARA.O up 3.58%; Cleanspark  CLSK.O rises 3.64%, Bit Digital BTBT.O gains 5.19%

** ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF BITO.P and iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF IBIT.O add ~4% each

** YTD, BTC gains 25.95%
