U.S. stock indexes edged higher in choppy trading on Thursday as bank shares
rose after major lenders cleared the Federal Reserve's annual stress test, while
strong economic data stoked bets of further interest rate hikes from the central
bank. .N
At 11:32 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was up 0.67% at
34,080.28. The S&P 500 .SPX was up 0.35% at 4,392.06 and the Nasdaq Composite
.IXIC was up 0.12% at 13,608.699.
