U.S. stock indexes rose by midday trading on Thursday as investors cheered
passage of a bill by lawmakers to suspend the nation's debt ceiling amid bets
that the Federal Reserve will skip raising interest rates in its next meeting.

33,032.23. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 0.66% at 4,207.53 and the Nasdaq Composite
