U.S. stock indexes edged higher on Monday, with oil stocks in the lead after
mounting attacks in the Red Sea lifted crude prices, while shares of U.S. Steel
rocketed after a $14.9 billion buyout deal.  .N 
    
    At 10:32 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up 0.05% at
37,324.06. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 0.40% at 4,738.01 and the Nasdaq Composite
 .IXIC  was up 0.42% at 14,875.74.
