July 29 (Reuters) - Wall Street's main indexes dropped on Wednesday as investors awaited the Federal Reserve's monetary policy verdict against the backdrop of an 8% jump in oil prices, while chip stocks remained under pressure ahead of Big Tech earnings. .N
     
At  1130 EDT, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was down 1.56% at 51,926.08. The S&P 500 .SPX was down 0.84% at 7,366.73, and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was down 1.15% at 24,591.87.
