Gem Quality 7.1 carat Diamond Sold

 

BlueRock Diamonds PLC, the AIM listed diamond producer, which owns and operates the Kareevlei Diamond Mine ('Kareevlei') in the Kimberley region of South Africa, announces that it sold a 7.1 carat stone for USD64,826 in the September tender.

 

Mike Houston, Executive Chairman said, "We are delighted to have unearthed another high value, 7.1 carat, quality diamond, which sold at an excellent $9,100 per carat in our latest tender. The market remains buoyant, and we continue to build our reputation with our increasing run of mine production volume delivering over 95% gem/near gem quality.

 

"I am also pleased to report the expansion project commissioning is progressing well and a full update will be provided in our Q3 update week commencing Monday 11th October."
