UK's Bodycote gains after takeover proposal from Apollo

May 22 (Reuters) - ** Shares of thermal processing services provider Bodycote BOY.L up as much as 19.2% at 832p - its highest since January 2022 ** Co receives a conditional takeover proposal from Apollo, valuing it at about £1.52 billion ($2.04 billion) ** Shareholders will get 885p per share in cash, a nearly 27% premium to Bodycote's Thursday closing price, plus a 16.1p dividend for 2025, if the deal goes ahead ** YTD, stock is up ~19% ($1 = 0.7450 pounds) (Reporting by Neeshita Beura in Bengaluru) ((Neeshita.Beura@thomsonreuters.com))
