** U.S. private equity firm Veritas Capital to buy Bodycote for £1.85 bln ($2.50 bln), including debt
** The 940p-per-share offer comprises 932.8p in cash, with shareholders retaining a 7.2p interim dividend
** YTD, stock is up about 36%
