U.S. stocks rose for the first time this week on Thursday, as President Donald
Trump said trade talks with China are doing well, offering a glimmer of hope to
markets roiled by trade tensions.  .N 
    At 10:32 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up 0.31 percent at
25,205.25. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 0.51 percent at 2,797.3 and the Nasdaq
Composite  .IXIC  was up 0.58 percent at 7,590.934.
