** Kepler Cheuvreux cuts BPER Banca EMII.MI to "hold" from "buy," says the potential deal with Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena BMPS.MI is a "great opportunity" for the group but the brokerage believes this won't materialize until late 2027, while the market is evolving rapidly
** Brokerage says that it does not view the update of BPER's business plan for integrating Banca Popolare di Sondrio as a catalyst, while Q2 results will benefit significantly from a one-off financial gain
** BPER is up 23% YTD
