Group Chief Financial Officer Appointment
Braemar Plc (LSE: BMS), a leading provider of expert chartering, investment and risk management advice to the shipping and energy markets, is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Heading as Group Chief Financial Officer, joining the Company and the board on 29 June 2026.
Richard is a highly experienced senior finance executive, having spent more than 25 years leading finance, risk, and compliance functions at large organisations, driving strategic transformation, strengthening risk management, and delivering operational improvements.
Most recently, until 31 March 2026, he held the roles of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Risk Officer at Record plc, the LSE listed specialist currency and asset manager, where he had board responsibility for financial reporting, treasury, investor relations and risk management.
Prior to Record plc, Richard spent more than five years at IG Group Holdings plc in the senior managerial role of Group Finance Director. Before that, he spent fifteen years at Willis Towers Watson, the global advisory and broking group progressing to Chief Financial Officer roles within both the International and Human Capital and Benefits divisions. He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in London and Madrid.
Richard holds a BSc in Economics and Politics from the University of Bristol and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
