The S&P 500 and the Dow inched lower in choppy trading on Wednesday as investors
refrained from making big bets ahead of minutes from the Federal Reserve's last
meeting and sought clues on when the central bank might start winding down its
economic support.  .N 
    At 12:49 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was down 0.20% at
35,273.56. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down 0.19% at 4,439.61 and the Nasdaq
Composite  .IXIC  was up 0.04% at 14,662.756.
