U.S. stock index futures recovered some ground on Wednesday from a sharp
sell-off in the previous session, as data showed inflation did not cool as
expected, fanning uncertainty on the timing for the Federal Reserve's first
interest rate cut in 2024.  .N 
    
    At 7:08 ET, Dow e-minis  1YMc1  were up 0.26% at 38,433. S&P 500 e-minis
 ESc1  were up 0.51% at 4,996.75, while Nasdaq 100 e-minis  NQc1  were up 0.74%
at 17,807.25.
