** Shares of New Zealand'S Briscoe Group  BGP.NZ  rise as
much as 2.4% to NZ$4.66, their highest level since Feb. 28
    ** Stock posts its biggest intraday pct gain since Feb. 28
    ** Homeware and sporting goods provider's directors have
resolved to pay a final dividend of 16.5 NZ cents per share, up
3.6% from prior year
    ** About 50,300 shares change hands versus the 30-day
average volume of 17,361 shares
    ** Stock up 4.3% this year, as of last close
