NZ's Briscoe Group hits record high on strong HY results

** Shares of retail chain Briscoe Group Ltd  BGP.NZ  rise
nearly 1% to hit record high of NZ$7.05
    ** Co posts HY net profit after tax of NZ$47.5 mln ($33.80
mln) vs about NZ$28 mln last year  urn:newsml:reuters.com:*:nFWN2QF0RL
    ** HY total revenue jumps 22.6% to NZ$358.4 mln
    ** BGP also declares interim dividend of 11.50 NZ cents per
share, up from 9 NZ cents last year
    ** Co expects FY NPAT to be above last year's NZ$73.2 mln
and up to NZ$85 mln
    ** Stock on track to post second consecutive session of
gains
    ** BGP has risen 33.3% this year, as of last close
($1 = 1.4053 New Zealand dollars)
