U.S. stock index futures edged higher on Wednesday with the focus shifting to
December's inflation reading due later in the week, which would provide clues on
how aggressive the Federal Reserve could be in its monetary tightening in this
year.  .N 
    At 7:35 a.m. ET, Dow e-minis  1YMc1  were up 0.14% at 33,896. S&P 500
e-minis  ESc1  were up 0.18% at 3,948, while Nasdaq 100 e-minis  NQc1  were up
0.12% at 11,295.
