** The Bank of Canada on Wednesday left its key overnight
interest rate on hold at 4.50% as expected but struck a hawkish
tone, playing down market expectations for a cut this year as
the risk of a recession diminished.
** Some of Canada's best known athletes, including Olympic
gold medallists Tessa Virtue and Hayley Wickenheiser, have been
included on a list of 333 Canadians banned from entering Russia,
the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday.
** Brookfield Infrastructure Corp BIPC.N will buy freight
container lessor Triton International Ltd TRTN.N for about
$4.7 billion, to capitalize on a boom in demand from customers
looking to cut transportation delays.
