Italy's cabinet approved a bill on Wednesday authorising naval blockades to halt migrant boats during periods of "exceptional pressure" at the country's borders, further tightening measures against irregular arrivals.

Treasury sells 3.0-3.5 billion euros 2.40% BTP bonds due March 15, 2029; 1.0-1.5 billion euros 3.15% BTP bonds due March 15, 2033; 1.0-1.25 billion euros 3.25% BTP bonds due July 15, 2032. Subscriptions close at 1000 GMT.

The Franco-Italian automaker issued a "Do Not Drive" warning on Wednesday for about 225,000 older vehicles in the United States fitted with unrepaired defective Takata air bag inflators.
An Italian judge on Wednesday rejected a request from John Elkann, scion of the Agnelli family and chairman of Stellantis and Ferrari RACE.MI, to settle a tax fraud case by doing a period of community service.

Citigroup raised the luxury carmaker rating to 'neutral' from 'sell' and the target price to 320 euros from 300 euros.
IVECO IVG.MI
(*) The Italian truck-maker posted a 28% drop in its full-year adjusted operating profit on Thursday, hit by weaker European truck demand and delays at a French bus plant.
Iveco said on Wednesday it would hold on March 25 an extraordinary general meeting to approve a planned sale of its defence business to Italy's Leonardo LDOF.MI.

Delfin Chairman Francesco Milleri told daily Il Sole 24 Ore he was happy with MPS CEO Luigi Lovaglio’s results. Milleri, who heads the Del Vecchio family investment vehicle which is the main shareholder of MPS, reiterated that Delfin was a long‑term financial investor and again dismissed reports it might sell its stake to UniCredit.

Italian Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti has hosted a meeting with Webuild CEO Pietro Salini and the CEO of state railways Ferrovie dello Stato (Fs), Stefano Donnarumma, to discuss the problem of Fs' mounting debts, which could affect payments to Webuild for rail projects, la Repubblica daily reported on Thursday. Postponing some projects, including the bridge between Sicily and the mainland, is among the options being considered, the paper said.

The Italian luxury group said on Wednesday it had brought forward the board meeting to approve its 2025 results to February 18 from the previously scheduled March 12. The company also moved to April 9 from April 14 the board meeting called to approve its first‑quarter revenues.

The Italian luxury group on Wednesday denied media reports suggesting its creative director Maximilian Davis may be replaced.

Delfin chairman Francesco Milleri, asked whether Giorgio Armani could be an M&A target for the holding, told Il Sole 24 Ore that Delfin founder Leonardo Del Vecchio always had a strong emotional attachment to the fashion house and he wanted to preserve that bond. If Delfin’s support is needed during the current transition phase at Armani, the holding would be ready to step in, he said.
