ISTAT releases September consumer and business confidence data (0800 GMT).

Treasury sells 3.5-4.0 billion euros of new 2.85% BTP bonds due February 1, 2031; 1.5-2.0 billion euros of 3.60% BTP bonds due October 1, 2035; 1.0-1.5 billion euros of CCTeu bonds due April 15, 2043; 1.0-1.25 billion euros of 4.00% BTP Green bonds due April 30, 2035. The Italian bank is open to permanently increase the number of German nationals on its board of directors if it helps facilitate a takeover of Commerzbank CBKG.DE, the Financial Times reported on Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.

If the Commerzbank takeover fails, UniCredit's "plan B" could target the German bank's Polish assets, starting from its local subsidiary mBank, MF reported on Friday.

Italian construction group Pizzarotti is not for sale, Chairman Paolo Pizzarotti told daily Corriere della Sera and Il Sole 24 Ore newspapers, adding however that his family might consider opening up the capital to a minority investor. In his comments, he said Webuild, Ghella, Saipem and Ferrovie dello Stato have expressed an interest for a unit of the company.

The Italian energy contractor said on Friday it had received authorisation from ExxonMobil to proceed with the development of an offshore oil field in Guyana, with a contract value of around $500 million.

Italy's antitrust regulator said on Friday it had fined the Italian energy major 336 million euros for restricting competition in the sale of fuel for trucks in collusion with five other oil companies operating in the country, which were also fined.

French utility EDF is angling towards a re-listing of the Italian energy company on the Milan bourse instead of opening the capital up to a minority investor, Corriere della Sera daily said on Friday.

The United States will impose a 50% tariff on imports of all kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, and associated products and a 30% tariff on upholstered furniture, with all the new duties to take effect from October 1, President Donald Trump said on Thursday.

Olbia, the EXPO of countries bordering the Mediterranean-MEDFEST continues; ends on September 28.
