LONDON, April 29 (Reuters) - Britain's communications regulator Ofcom said on Wednesday it had opened an investigation into whether BT Group BT.L failed to comply with legally binding requests for information.
Ofcom said it had issued formal information requests to BT entities in December 2023 seeking data on the experiences of customers who had entered into contracts or placed orders for fixed landline or broadband services.
The regulator said available evidence suggested responses from BT's mobile network providers EE and Plusnet may have been incomplete or inaccurate, and it would gather further evidence before publishing an update in due course.
