** Shares of cryptocurrency and blockchain-related firms
rise as bitcoin  BTC=BTSP  hovers just below record high on
Wednesday 
    ** BTC up 2.8% at $65,947 at 1430 GMT, a day after trading
begins for ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF, a move that is likely

    ** U.S.-listed miners Riot Blockchain  RIOT.O , Marathon
Digital  MARA.O , Bit Digital  BTBT.O  rise between 2.7% and

    ** U.S.-listed shares of Hut 8 Mining Corp  HUT.O  jump 8.3%
    ** BTC buyer and business intelligence software firm
MicroStrategy Inc  MSTR.O  edges up 4.3%
    ** Bitcoin mining machine maker Canaan Inc  CAN.O  jumps
about 8.3% and blockchain farm operator Bitfarms  BITF.O  adds
4.6%
    ** Crypto exchange Coinbase Global  COIN.O  adds 2.2%
    ** The Nasdaq crypto index  .NCID , which tracks a basket of
digital assets including bitcoin and ether, up 3.33%
