Poland's Budimex says 10 billion zloty revenue possible in 2026, but weather a key risk
Poland's Budimex says 10 billion zloty revenue possible in 2026, but weather a key risk July 30 (Reuters) - Poland's largest construction company Budimex BDXP.WA said on Thursday that its 2026 revenue target of 10 billion zlotys ($2.67 billion) is within reach, but will depend on weather conditions.
"Looking at our portfolio, this is possible, but it will depend on weather conditions, over which we have no control," CEO Artur Popko told a press conference.
Budimex expects to exceed 8 billion zlotys in new contracts signed in 2026, Popko said.
The company is not concerned about margin pressure despite uncertainty from Middle East tensions and rising building material prices, he said.
Budimex protects against rising material costs through indexation clauses in contracts and advance stockpiling at construction sites.
The company reported on Tuesday a 7.7% drop in first-half net profit, though group revenue rose to 4.26 billion zlotys from 3.95 billion zlotys a year earlier.
