SGS is in talks to combine with French testing firm Bureau Veritas, Bloomberg News reports

Jan 14 (Reuters) - Swiss testing and inspection company
SGS  SGSN.S  is in advanced talks to combine with France's
Bureau Veritas  BVI.PA , Bloomberg News reported on Tuesday,
citing people with knowledge of the matter.
    The companies are working on the final details of a
transaction that could be announced in the coming weeks, the
report said. 
    Bureau Veritas and SGS did not immediately respond to
Reuters' requests for comment.
