BYD confirms talks with Stellantis, others for Europe plants, state media reports

BEIJING, May 14 (Reuters) - Chinese EV giant BYD 002594.SZ on Thursday confirmed to state media that it is in talks with European carmarkers including Stellantis STLAM.MI about taking over underused factories in Europe, following reports of such negotiations a day earlier. BYD said there was no further information to disclose for the time being, state-backed China Securities Journal reported Thursday. Reuters could not immediately verify the report.
