RXO gains after C.H. Robinson unveils $5.8 bln acquisition

** Shares of transportation broker RXO RXO.O rise 21.6% to $28.4 premarket
** Freight forwarding firm C.H. Robinson Worldwide CHRW.O says it would buy RXO in a stock-and-cash transaction for $5.8 bln
** CHRW shares fall 7.7% at $145.5
** Under the deal, RXO stockholders would receive $17.25 per share in cash and 0.0856 shares of CHRW common stock
** Deal expected to close in the first half of 2027 and is subject to regulatory and RXO stockholder approval
** As of last close, RXO stock was up 85%, while CHRW stock fell 1.9% YTD
