Caixabank's Q4 net profit falls 2.9% from same period in 2024

MADRID, Jan 30 (Reuters) - Spain's Caixabank CABK.MC said on Friday its net profit fell 2.9% in the fourth quarter from the same period in 2024 due to the impact from the banking tax.

The country's biggest lender by domestic assets reported a net profit of 1.49 billion euros ($1.78 billion) in the October to December period compared to 1.54 billion euros in the fourth quarter of 2024.

Analysts polled by Reuters expected a net profit of 1.43 billion euros.
