Cal-Maine Foods up on improved egg demand in Q3

** Shares of egg producer Cal-Maine Foods  CALM.O  jump ~7%
to $63.00 premarket
    ** Co's overall sales volumes rose 3.2% in Q3, on strong egg
demand
    ** Says market prices rose sequentially vs Q2, partly due to
the recent impact of bird flu in the US
    ** Still, Q3 net sales fell due to y-o-y fall in egg prices
    ** Cal-Maine also culled ~1.6 mln laying hens in Texas due
to the bird flu; it had culled ~684,000 hens in Kansas in Dec
    ** YTD, shares up 2.7% as of last close
