** Swiss apparel and furniture company Calida Holding's
CALN.S Chief Executive Reiner Pichler tells the Finanz und
Wirtschaft newspaper in an interview:
** On how H2 started: "Just as well as the first half.
Growth is even slightly above our expectations. We are already
selling products for Spring 2020 and pre-orders look good."
** On divestments: "All our brands are growing and are now
profitable. Now we would like to focus our portfolio on the
outdoor-surfing segment. We are reviewing divestments in our
core business."
** Calida is open for acquisitions only in underwear
** Sees Japan, its fourth-biggest market, as having strong
potential. Sentiment among clothing buyers has improved somewhat
of late in France and Germany
** Says online sales could rise to 20% of the total from 12%
now, reach 30% including third parties like Amazon, Zalando or
Globus
