** U.S.-listed shares of Sweden-based drug developer
Calliditas Therapeutics AB CALTX.ST CALT.O rise 5.2% to
$16.72 premarket
** Co says the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has
accepted the application for full approval of its drug to treat
a chronic kidney disease called IgA nephropathy (IgAN)
** IgAN, also called Berger's disease, occurs when proteins
build up in the kidneys, damaging tissues and leaking blood and
protein into urine
** The drug, Tarpeyo, is currently approved under
accelerated approval in adults with IgAN at risk of rapid
disease progression to reduce level of protein in their urine
** FDA is set to make its decision by 20 December, company
said
** Up to last close, U.S.-listed shares of CALT down ~6.5%
