** U.S.-listed shares of Canadian uranium supplier Cameco
CCJ.N rise 2.1% to $48.50 premarket
** Poland and Canada sign agreement that provides a legal
framework for more intensive cooperation on nuclear power
** Poland is working to reduce its reliance on coal and has
chosen Westinghouse Electric to build its first nuclear plant on
the Baltic Sea coast; financing is still not fully agreed
** Cameco had acquired Westinghouse Electric in partnership
with Brookfield Asset Management BAM.TO alongside its
affiliate Brookfield Renewable Partners BEP.N in 2023
** Stock was up 9.1% in 2024
