Camurus jumps on positive topline result for its once-monthly GLP-1 candidate

** Shares in Camurus CAMX.ST jump 12% after the Swedish biotech company reported positive topline results for its once-monthly GLP-1 candidate, CAM2056

** CAM2056 showed weight and hemoglobin A1c reductions comparable to or exceeding those seen for weekly semaglutide (Novo Nordisk's Wegovy), the group says

** Importantly, CAM2056 reached similar weight reduction after 3 months as Wegovy after 5 months, Jefferies says in a note

** "We believe this is an important validation of Camurus' partnership with Eli Lilly, as well," the brokerage adds

** If gains hold, the stock will see its best day since June
