** Co names Colin Parkin as new Chief Executive Officer, effective May 14; to succeed Shawn Qu

** Posts narrower first-quarter loss helped by higher sales of battery energy storage systems

** Energy storage shipments for the quarter at 2.1 gigawatt-hours (GWh)

** Co expects total battery energy storage shipments of 2.8 GWh to 3.2 GWh in 2026

** Net loss attributable to CSIQ was $32.01 million in the first quarter, compared to a loss of $33.97 million a year earlier

** As of last close, CSIQ down 15.6% YTD
