BUZZ-Canadian Solar shares rise on Florida battery deal ** Canadian Solar CSIQ.O shares rise 2.3% to $15.3 premarket
** The solar and battery company says its e-STORAGE business agreed to deliver a 95 MW/426 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in Florida
** CSIQ's energy storage business will deliver an integrated BESS with 5 MWh SolBank 3.0 batteries, power conversion and energy management systems, under the agreement with an electric utility in the state
** The 426 MWh project will dispatch stored energy during peak demand periods to help lower costs - CSIQ
** Says the battery installation is planned for H2 2027 while commercial operation is targeted for early 2028
** At last close, CSIQ down 37% YTD
