** Hong Kong shares of China's CanSino Biologics Inc
 6185.HK  surge as much as 8% to HK$74.40, their biggest daily
pct rise since Nov. 14, if gains hold
    ** Stock hits the highest since Dec. 20 on the third
consecutive session of gains
    ** Tianjin-based CanSino reported on Thursday "positive"
interim data from its experimental COVID-19 mRNA booster vaccine
in a mid-stage clinical trial, as the country races to tame a

    ** The CanSino booster vaccine is one of China's first
home-grown potential vaccines based on mRNA technology
    ** Shanghai-listed shares  688185.SS  rise 4.2%

0.7% and the healthcare index  .HSCIH  rises 1.1%
    ** The Hang Seng Composite Index  .HSCI  climbs 0.8% and the
Hang Seng Index  .HSI  is up 0.6%
