The Polish unit of BNP Paribas has decided to start an issue
of up to 13.3 million new shares to raise capital by around 800
million zlotys and meet new regulatory demands, it said on

GETBACK GBK.WA
The value of troubled Polish debt collector GetBack could
return to 1 billion zlotys if the company stabilises its
business, services its portfolio, raises capital next year and
comes back to the debt purchasing market, Puls Biznesu daily
quoted GetBack's new CEO as saying.
KGHM KGH.WA
The head of state-run Industrial Development Agency (ARP)
Marcin Chludzinski is one of the candidates who applied to
become CEO of copper producer KGHM, Puls Biznesu daily said
quoting unnamed sources. KGHM's new CEO is expected to be
appointed by June 26 when the company's shareholders meeting is
scheduled, the paper added.
Separately, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna daily said that Prime
Minister Mateusz Morawiecki may take control over KGHM from the
energy minister.
MIEDZI COPPER
Canadian firm Miedzi Copper has resigned from one of its two
copper concessions in Poland after the environment ministry
refused to give it more time for exploration, Puls Biznesu daily
said.
TAXES
Poland's finance ministry is working on a plan to simplify
the tax system, Rzeczpospolita quoted the finance minister as
saying.
