June 4 (Reuters) - Below are company-related news and stories from France and Benelux which could have an impact on the region's markets or individual stocks.

TRUMP/TARIFFS:

The U.S. tariff rate on most imported steel and aluminum doubled on Wednesday as President Donald Trump ratchets up a global trade war on the same day he expects trading partners to deliver their "best offer" in bids to avoid punishing import tax rates on other goods from taking effect in early July.

CARREFOUR CARR.PA, CARMILA CARM.PA

The French food retailer has initiated the sale of about 7% of its stake in Carmila CARM.PA, it said on Tuesday, and will retain around 29.8% of Carmila's share capital.

FRANCE/ITALY:

French President Emmanuel Macron and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni vowed to work jointly  for a stronger Europe as they met on Tuesday following bilateral tensions over Ukraine, trade and relations with the United States.

NETHERLANDS/GOVERNMENT

The Dutch government collapsed on Tuesday after far-right leader Geert Wilders said he would leave the ruling coalition over disagreements on asylum and immigration policy.

QUADIENT QDT.PA

The French software firm reported 258 million euros ($293.24 million) in first-quarter sales and confirmed its annual guidance.

WORLDLINE WLN.PA

The Paris-based digital payments group successfully placed a five-year, 500 million euro bond, with proceeds to be used for refinancing and general corporate purposes.
