HK's Carnival Group International hits over 1-mth high; co bags cultural tourism project

** Shares of property developer Carnival Group International
Holdings Ltd  0996.HK  rise as much as 11.3 pct on their fifth
session of gains, their highest since Nov. 2
    ** Company entered into framework agreement and obtained
support from the People's Government of Jiangbei district to
launch Chongqing Carnival Cultural Tourism Comprehensive
Development and Construction project in Chongqing  urn:newsml:reuters.com:*:nFWN1Y80NO
    ** Co says the project, comprising cultural tourism complex
with entertainment, hotel, and gymnastic, can help expanding its
cultural tourism business 
    ** Stock down 70.1 pct so far this year as of last close
    ** Carnival has underperformed the Hang Seng Commerce &
Industry Index sector  .HSNC  by 10.6 percentage points in the
past one month
