CATERPILLAR INC. FILES FORMS 4                         

PEORIA, Ill.- 4 May 2016 - Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT/Euronext: CATR) informs
its stockholders that on May 3, 2016, in accordance with Section 16(a) of the
U.S. Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended, seven Forms 4 (the report on
Form 4 being a statement of beneficial ownership of its officers, directors and
10% owners) was filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC").
