Brief: Cathay Financial's Fund Arm: We Maintain High Confidence in Taiwan Stocks As AI Boom Persists
BRIEF-Cathay Financial's Fund Arm: We Maintain High Confidence in Taiwan Stocks As AI Boom Persists TAIPEI, June 8 (Reuters) - Cathay Securities Investment Trust, the fund arm of Cathay Financial Holding Co Ltd 2882.TW and Taiwan's biggest fund manager, has T$3.21 trillion ($101.6 billion) of client assets under management.
They made the following comments at a news briefing on Monday:
GIVEN THAT THE AI TREND IS STILL GOING STRONG, WE STILL HAVE HIGH CONFIDENCE IN TAIWAN STOCKS
SLUMPS ON (FRIDAY AND) MONDAY IN U.S., S. KOREA, TAIWAN CHIP STOCKS ARE DUE TO PROFIT TAKING, AS THEY HAVE SURGED MORE THAN 80% YEAR TO DATE
IF THE FED RAISES INTEREST RATES, IT WOULD BE A PREVENTATIVE MEASURE (TO CURB INFLATION). WE EXPECT THAT ANY POSSIBLE INCREASE WOULD BE LIMITED IN SCALE
