The Nasdaq and the S&P 500 rose on Thursday as investors shifted into
high-growth stocks amid optimism about a U.S. debt ceiling deal being reached
soon, while shares of Walmart gained on its strong annual forecast.  .N

33,263.22. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 0.25% at 4,169.07 and the Nasdaq Composite
