The S&P 500 and Nasdaq were subdued on Monday in the run-up to an action-packed
week that includes the Federal Reserve's policy meeting and inflation data, both
of which will test investor optimism about interest rates easing next year. .N 
    
    At 13:32 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up 0.36% at
36,377.02. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 0.28% at 4,617.42 and the Nasdaq Composite
 .IXIC  was up 0.09% at 14,416.649.
