BARCELONA, April 29 (Reuters) - Spain's Cellnex CLNX.MC, Europe's largest mobile phone tower operator, reported on Wednesday a 4.3% increase in first-quarter adjusted core earnings to 832 million euros ($972.6 million) as revenues grew 2% to 1.09 billion euros.
The figures were in line with analysts' expectations in a poll by LSEG and the company attributed them to the "strength and predictability of its long-term contracted business model".
Cellnex posted a positive free cash flow of 118 million euros, bouncing back from a deficit of 66 million euros in the first quarter of last year.
It reported a narrower first quarter net loss of 37 million euros compared to 49 million euros a year ago, while its operating profit rose to 153 million euros.
