Sept 10 (Reuters) - Scottish soccer club Celtic CCP.L
Chief Executive Dom McKay has stepped down for personal reasons,
after just over two months in the role, the London-listed club

on Friday and named insider Michael Nicholson as its acting
chief.
The shake-up comes after former Australia coach Ange
Postecoglou was appointed the club's manager https://www.reuters.com/article/soccer-scotland-cel-postecoglou-idINKCN2DM0RB
in June following the exit of Neil Lennon in February after a
dismal campaign.
McKay took over as CEO in July, joining from the Scottish
Rugby Union. On his appointment, McKay had said https://www.celticfc.com/news/2021/january/Appointment-of-Dominic-McKay-as-Chief-Executive-Officer
Celtic was "more than just about financial results off the
pitch and football results on the pitch."
Nicholson, the acting CEO, is currently the club's director
for legal and football affairs, and has been a senior executive
at the company for eight years.
Chairman Ian Bankier welcomed Nicholson onto the board,
saying he looked forward to continuing to work with him to
deliver future success for the club.
Celtic is set to play against Ross County at the Scottish
Premiership on Saturday and against Real Betis on Sept. 16 in
the UEFA Europa League.
