Central Garden & Pet CEO Tim Cofer to leave, shares fall

** Shares of lawn and pet products supplier Central Garden &
Pet Company  CENT.O  down ~1% at $46.85 in extended trading
    ** CENT's CEO Tim Cofer will leave the company to join
Texas-based soda maker Keurig Dr Pepper  KDP.O 
    ** Cofer intends to depart, effective Oct. 6 - co
    ** CENT says its lead independent director Beth Springer has
been named as interim chief executive officer, while the search
for permanent successor is underway
    ** At Keurig Dr Pepper, Cofer will join as its chief
operating officer before taking on the CEO role in the second
quarter of 2024
    ** CENT shares up 25.1% YTD
